A portrait believed to be of Mrs Thomas Hicks Chandler (nee Ann Washbourn) b. 1779, the sister of Richard Washbourn (G18).  This is the earliest known likeness of any of the early Washbourn family.

The extended Washbourn family gathered for this photograph in 1891 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Nelson. Back row: Will Caldwell, Minnie Caldwell, Arthur Washbourn, Everley Washbourn, Frank Washbourn, Arthur Dermer. Middle row: Florence G Caldwell, Susan Caldwell (Washbourn) wilth Dolly, Alice Caldwell, Elizabeth Caldwell, Clara Washbourn, Harry Washbourn, Maud Kirton (Washbourn), Kathleen Dermer, Cyril Dermer, Eleanor Dermer (Washbourn). Front row: Walter Caldwell, Ruth Caldwell, Pete Washbourn, Maud Kirton (junior), Gladys Kirton, Amy Dermer, and Lola Dermer.

An early family photograph, undated, but pre-1927, probably taken at The Port, Nelson. Back:   Arthur Washbourn (Uncle Arty), Clara née Caldwell Washbourn, Pete (H.O. Washbourn), Henry Philip Washbourn. In front:  Everley (H.E.A Washbourn), and Frank (Francis I Washbourn).                       Photographer unknown.

The third-generation (for the most part) New Zealanders; a photo taken at Collingwood in 1990 during the family reunion. Sadly, none of them is with us now. They are: Back row - Arthur Dermer, Fairley Strathern, Alan Brown, Gordon Washbourn, and Harold Waugh.  Front row - Audrey Dermer, June Washbourn, Jean Ryder*, Isolda White*, Sydney Parker* and Joan Waugh.

(* née Washbourn).

(Left):  The late Jack Washbourn (1928-2016) who, at the behest of daughter Caroline, submitted his DNA for analysis.  The result showed that Jack belonged to the Wroughton Branch of the Wiltshire Washbourn family.  There are a number of living members of the Wroughton Branch in the UK today.
